“Thank you for helping keep Mom warm and cool all these years. The American Standard furnace works great.”
Steve Withers’ long-time dream of becoming a business owner finally became a reality in 1979 when he opened Steve’s Heating & Cooling, LLC. His vision was to provide exceptional service at a fair price, but most of all, to be completely honest with his customers. That honesty and exceptional service remains the main focus of the company today.
Steve started the company with one van, a few tools and himself. Although the company has grown since then, it still remains a small business and is still run by the same principals it was founded on.
The business has always been family owned and operated. Steve’s son-in-law, Scott Johnson, joined the company in April 1996 as a service tech and his daughter, Michelle, joined in May 2001 as the office manager. After working out of his house in Gladstone since 1979, Steve decided to relocate his business to an office building in Riverside, Missouri in 2002. In September 2006, Steve decided to semi-retire and sold the business to his daughter and son-in-law.
